Does your exam location test with the ECQB-PPL?

SoloReady trains you with the officially licensed ECQB-PPL question bank. Pick your country and see right away whether your examination authority tests from it — honestly researched, with sources.

Germany

ECQB-PPL in use

Examination authority

Landesluftfahrtbehörden — the aviation authorities of the German federal states (Regierungspräsidien/Bezirksregierungen/Luftämter); the LBA only examines CPL/ATPL/IR

The PPL(A) theory exam is taken electronically at the state aviation authorities and is drawn from Aircademy's ECQB-PPL catalogue (around 1,000 training questions public; the exam also contains unpublished questions; 132 instead of 120 questions under AltMoC). Following the 2025/26 changeover, all federal states examine uniformly with the ECQB-PPL; the DAeC catalogue previously used in some states (e.g. Hesse, Baden-Württemberg) is being integrated into the ECQB-PPL by mid-2026.

Exam locations

At the relevant state aviation authority, e.g. Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf/Münster (NRW), the aviation authorities of Berlin/Brandenburg, Hamburg, Bremen and others
